KYC - Know Your Customer

At BH Servers, identity verification, also known as KYC (Know Your Customer), is used to ensure a safer and more reliable environment for everyone. It allows us to prevent fraud, avoid misuse of our servers, and comply with legal requirements that may apply in all countries where we operate.

This verification helps protect both you and our infrastructure against malicious activities such as mass spam, financial scams, bot usage, or even more serious cyber crimes. Although it is not yet a requirement for hosting companies in most countries, we have chosen to adopt this process in order to maintain a higher standard of security and trust between us and our customers.

When verification is required

Verification may be requested after registration or when placing an order. If unusual behavior or inconsistencies in the provided data are detected, our system may request a manual confirmation of your identity.

What may be requested

• Photo identification document (ID card, driver's license, or passport)
• Recent proof of address
• Selfie holding the identification document
• Email or phone confirmation
• Screen showing the payment inside the app or bank used
• Photo or screenshot of the credit card showing only the last 4 digits of the number, with the remaining data covered (name, expiration date, and security code must not be provided under any circumstances)
• In case of bank transfer payments made by third parties, the identity of the account holder who sent the payment must also be verified

In some specific situations, we may also request additional documents or a brief video call to validate the information.

Important: since this is not a legal requirement for WebHosting companies but rather a security measure adopted by BH Servers following international standards, the items listed above represent documents that may be requested, without meaning they are mandatory in every case. Verification is performed selectively and proportionally to the level of risk identified. Long-standing customers with a good history, for example, will generally not need to go through additional steps.

Deadlines and limitations

The customer has up to 5 days after registration to complete the verification if it is requested. During this period, some services may remain limited or suspended. If the process is not completed within the deadline, future orders may be blocked until verification is completed.

Active customers

BH Servers may perform new verifications on already active accounts if there are changes in the data, an increase in risk level, or any situation that justifies a new review.

Data privacy

All submitted data is protected and used only for identity verification purposes. We do not share this information with third parties except when required by law. The submitted data follows the security standards of LGPD, GDPR, and other applicable regulations.

Geographical restrictions

For security and compliance reasons, BH Servers may restrict or refuse to provide services to residents of countries under international sanctions.
