VPS NextGen Architecture

No! NextGen Architecture focuses on stability and consistent performance, but does not replace backup. We strongly recommend maintaining regular backups of your data. The NextGen architecture ensures your system works predictably, but backups are essential to protect against accidental deletion, data corruption, human errors, or disasters. To assist in the process, we have additional backup plans (beta) where your VPS is replicated on a server outside the infrastructure.

Not yet. VPS NextGen is not a complete High Availability solution. It was designed to offer stability and predictability at a balanced cost, including minimizing common risks and preventing data loss in daily use. The servers operate independently and, in the rare scenario of serious physical failure, human intervention may be required for component replacement. Since it involves a single physical server, there is a residual risk, low but not nonexistent, of total unavailability or losses. The architecture avoids replication between multiple servers precisely to keep costs under control, as this type of protection would significantly raise the price and is usually better addressed by adequate client backup policies.

These are products for different profiles:

Premium Enterprise (VMware): Focus on absolute maximum performance, dedicated resources, ideal for applications requiring extreme computing power, such as trading, intensive processing, demanding game servers, or any other application that needs a processing power that only enterprise virtualization like VMware can offer.

VPS NextGen: Focus on stability and predictability, multi-layer architecture with intelligent protection, ideal for applications more sensitive to variation or more complicated to restore from a manual backup, such as SaaS, corporate systems, semi-critical APIs, databases, among others.

NextGen is not "inferior" to Premium and Premium is not "inferior" to NextGen. They are solutions developed for different audiences. While Premium seeks maximum speed, NextGen seeks maximum consistency.

NextGen Architecture prioritizes consistency over raw speed. You may not have the maximum performance peaks of Premium Enterprise, but you will also have an even lower risk of suffering losses. In other words, in Premium plans the risk is already low, but NextGen delivers predictability with even lower risks that your application (SaaS, APIs, corporate systems) needs.

These are processing levels in the NextGen architecture that combine well-configured Opensource technologies available for this purpose and our own layer that manages these technologies, functioning as a filter. Basically we talk about:

Layer 1 (Infrastructure): Base hardware, physical resources and virtualization
Layer 2 (NextGen Core): Intelligent processing and AI-based stabilization (Artificial Intelligence)
Layer 3 (Your Application): Filtered and stable environment

The NextGen Core layer monitors and automatically adjusts to ensure that variations at the base do not affect the top, while also protecting and preventing file losses as much as possible. It is an architecture designed for reliability and loss prevention.
